The admission process begins in the spring prior to the desired year of the enrollment. The decisions are generally made in late May until early July of each year. Admittance is based on a candidate entire profile, which includes an admission evaluation by Shining stars Academy, NCAA clearing house, and current school records (grades 9th thru 12th), and SAT/ACT scores. At Shining Stars Academy, the goal of the admissions process is to represent the mission and the philosophy of our school faithfully and accurately to prospective students and families. I’m here to help facilitate and assist with the process to ensure that you and your family have a thorough understanding of a wonder program that we offer.
Our students will participate and regular community service. We will partner with various organizations in Richmond and Petersburg area to donate our time and talents to Service those in need.
At Shining Stars Academy, we believe in providing our student athletes with tools to not only be successful on the basketball court also in the classroom. We want our students to know how to manage themselves in today society. This is why we have created a series of student workshops that we teach our student based on various topics such as Financial Literacy, time management, study skills, leadership, hygiene and career day, etc.
